A Time To Heal By: Don Stivers - In early winter of 1944, in the mist-shrouded forests of Huertgen on the Belgium-German border, the first of one of the most heroic and humanitarian truces of the Second World War was forged between Allied Commanders and Germans. 
 Bn aid station, which still exists, on the Kall trail changed hands so many times that surgeons and medics from both sides stayed in place and treated both German and US wounded.
