Body of a Japanese airman, KIA at Pearl Harbour, lifted from the water by the US Navy.  His right hand appears undamaged; however, his face/head show signs of having suffered a high-temperature flash-fire in the brief time between his aircraft being hit and its entering the water.  Why do we keep doing these things to each other ?  JR.

I actually suspect that this picture was taken not before 7 October 1944, as the bridge was then destroyed by US bombers. That is, if it is the famous Arnhem bridge.
