The picture is dated February 1931.

I am not sure, but wouldn't helping to train other armed forces be a violation of the Versailles Treaty? I know already that the Treaty was not followed totally by the book also by the controlling states, but I wonder as I have never thought of it.

Chinese Infantry Training

Xie Jinyuan was assasinated on 24th April 1941. The assasinators were Sergeant He Dingcheng and three other of Xie Jinyuan's men. They were bought over by the Wang Jingwei regime, collaborating with the Japanese.

Xie Jinyuan was posthumously made a Major General, more than 100.000 people showed up for his funeral.

"The historical event of WWII. Republic of China exploded the bank of Yellow River to stop the Janpanese attack in 1938."

In 1938 the KMT decided to let the Yellow river flood an area of 54.000 km² to stop the Japanese advance. The flood indeed prevented the Japanese from taking Zhengzou, but they could capture Wuhan, the new capital of the Republic of China. Besides that, the flood caused huge suffering among the population. It is estimated that 500.000-900.000 people died plus an unknown number of Japanese troops.

Note the interesting way to use the machine gun.
