With the capture of the town of Goch, Germany, near the Dutch border and the 2nd Canadian Infantry Division holding the Goch-Calcar road, Operation Veritable came to an end having only reached the Second Phase of the operation. First Canadian Army would regroup and prepare for the launch of Operation Blockbuster and the continuation of Phase Three of Veritable.
