The Martin Marauder Mark II, FB442 'D', of No. 12 Squadron South African Air Force, Desert Air Force, turning for home after bombing the railway bridge over the River Esino at Chiaravalle, near Ancona, Central Italy, 1944. The No 12 Squadron SAAF was equipped with Marauder II, afterwards replaced by Marauder III, from January to December 1944 and during this time was deployed on some bases of Southern and Central Italy.
