ducktator Orates.

Fans of Fuhrer images (of whom we have a few) will, no doubt, appreciate this still from the 1942 cartoon movie, "The Ducktators", a Warner Brothers/Looney Tunes production. The scenario is that a bad egg hatches in the farmyard, from which issues a Hitler-style duck. He is joined by a Hirohito-style duck and a Mussolini-style goose; together, they attempt to take over the farmyard, er, Fascistically. They are in the end defeated by the Dove of Hope, and end up as stuffed head trophies on the latter's wall. This is certainly an uncompromising propaganda effort, ridiculing and dehumanising the enemies of America in 1942. Along with similar "light" propaganda of the time, it tends to upset the tender hearts of politically correct commentators today. No doubt the radically politically incorrect of a certain persuasion find it pretty irritating as well. I find it understandable - and still funny. Best regards, JR.
