GI's marching in Italy

GI's marching in Italy

Description

GI's of the 92nd Division march past a knocked out Tiger tank in Italy, September 1944. The tank appears to missing it's front wheel, theories anyone?

Indeed the Tiger is missing its drive sprocket and is undriveable in this state. The track has been shortened for towing but from the spare link still on the ground, it appears the salvage crew hadn't finished their job when the GIs arrived.
