There's a dark spot on the left side of this Hetzer, could be where it was hit causing an internal fire of some sort which spread to the engine, to be honest it doesn't look like it took much damage but as for the location JR it's labeled as Aldenhoven ...

I would agree that a lucky, or well placed, bazooka shot could have resulted in a catastrophic internal explosion. After doing some reading, the side armor was a bit thin and vulnerable to infantry lying in ambush, and one well...

Hello, Nickdfresh. Would it not depend on what the one round hit ? The interior of the Hetzer was very cramped. Would a direct hit on ammunition or fuel not have the possibility of causing a pretty devastating "burp" ? Best regards, JR.

Must have been pelted with multiple bazooka rounds, or demolished afterward with charges as I doubt one 2.36" round will do that...

A Hetzer, I think - pretty thoroughly trashed. Hull disruption seems to have been quite catastrophic resulting, I assume, from a large internal explosion. The terrain looks very open - I wonder where exactly it is in France ? Best regards, JR.

The hetzer was not a good tank to be sent against infantry. It was a tank killer, He must of shot a track of a used charges. Or a shot in the side at closs range, would send a shock wave to its ammo. Some rounds were stored on racks in that area. Good...
