The 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment of the 1st Infantry Division, and M3 half-track armored personnel carriers passing through the railway viaduct north of Bütgenbach, eastern Belgium, towards Bütgenbach. The railway viaduct was part of the line running from Losheim/Eifel (Germany) to Trois-Ponts, Belgium, and had been blown up by the retreating German troops; December 1944.

   The first jeep tows a 57-mm anti-tank gun of the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment. The second jeep carries medics of the 326th Airborne Medical Company, 101st Airborne Division.
   The soldiers on the left side of the road also belong to the 327th Glider Infantry, identified by the Ace of Clubs on their helmet.
