Refueling of a Dewoitine D 520 of the French Vichy Air Force’s Groupe de Chasse III/6 (GC III/6) at Rhodes, at this time in Italian hands, stopover of the ferry flight from Algeria to French Syria, May 27, 1941. The GC III/6 moved urgently from Algiers to Rayak, Lebanon, as reinforcement of the Vichy Forces in Middle East attacked by the British Forces. A number of GC III/6’s D520, together many other airplanes of Vichy Air Force’s was destroyed on the ground and in aerial combats by the British air forces. Victor Sierra
