My GrandPa

Born in 1924, Dale became a Marine at the age of 17. Served during WWII in the South Pacific where he was an ambulance driver. There is a photo on this site of four men carrying a stretcher on Saipan. The man on the front, left is my Dad. The photo was used in the documentary "The War" by Ken Burns. One week after Daddy returned to Tulsa, OK, he married my Mom, Betty. They celebrated 63 years of marriage in September 2007. Daddy died October 22, 2007.
