Is this "Mourka", the famous Soviet message-carrying cat ? The story (myth, at least) is that Mourka spent his time running messages detailing German positions between Soviet scouts and their HQ. I note that this feline has something looking suspiciously like a letter tucked into his/her collar. Personally, I don't believe it. Knowing cats, I am quite sure that "Mourka" would as happily deliver Russian messages to the Germans, and indeed German messages to the Russians, as long as he/she was being fed by both sides ...
