Adolf Martin Bormann in "uniform", late-1930s.

Born April, 1930, Adolf Martin (later styling himself Martin Adolf) Bormann was the eldest child (of 10) of Martin Bormann and his long-suffering wife, Gerda (born Buch). His godfather was Adolf Hitler. Postwar, he rejected Naziism and converted to Roman Catholicism. He was ordained to the RC priesthood in 1953, serving on the foreign missions in the Congo, but subsequently left the priesthood, carrying on as a teacher of theology and speaker on the evils of the Jewish Holocaust. I understand that he is currently under accusation of having committed child abuse while a priest and teacher in Austria, accusations which he denies. I have seen postwar interviews with this man. He seems to me to have been badly shook, in retrospect, by the experience of having Martin Bormann for a father; he still comes across to me as, somehow, a frightened person. As to the child abuse accusation ... who knows ? There was a lot of it about in the Catholic Church at the time ... Best regards, JR.
