Tank destroyer Hunting Tiger
Description
German heavy tank destroyer (Sd.Kfz.186 "Jagdtiger") from the 2nd platoon of the 1st company of the 512th heavy tank destroyer battalion, abandoned by the crew in the commune of Netphen, Germany, about 45-50 miles east of Cologne. It was mistakenly hit with a grenade launcher by its own troops. The self-propelled gun was hit in the engine compartment and was immobilized. The crew escaped but did not manage to blow up the vehicle; April 1945.
