Dornier Do18 flying boat

The Dornier 18 has the distinction of being the first German aircraft to fall to British gunfire. This occurred on September 26th 1939 felled by a Blackburn Skua. The German crew landed safely in the water and were picked up by a British patrol, who then destroyed the aircraft .(The Colonel)
