The burial of Oberst (colonel) Helmut Lent, one of Germany's top night-fighters. Lent died on October 7, 1944 near Paderborn/Germany when his plane touched a high-voltage power line during a landing maneuver. Lent shot down 8 enemy planes by day and 102 at night.

Major JOACHIM MÜNCHEBERG (December 31, 1918 - March 23, 1943), awarded the Knight's Cross with Oakleaves and Swords, Commander Jagd-Geschwader 77. During a dogfight with american aircrafts a wing of Münchebergs plane broke. He managed to chute out of the plane and landed heavily wounded, he died on the way to the field hospital near Maknassy/Tunisia. Joachim Müncheberg shot down 135 enemy planes thereof 33 on the eastern front.
