Oberst (Colonel) ALFRED DRUSCHEL (*February 4, 1917 in Bindsachsen/Germany; KIA January 1, 1945 near Aachen/Germany). Ground attack specialist (Hs 123, Me 109, FW 190) in more than 1000 missions (7 aerial victories) over Poland, France, England, Yugoslavia, Greece, Soviet Union, Germany, Belgium. Awarded the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. Aged 27 Druschel became one of the youngest Colonels in the German armed forces, he was killed when his FW 190 was shot down by light US AA guns during "Operation Bodenplatte".
