This remarkable object is described as a "super quad". It is, essentially, four MG 42 machine guns (possibly reproductions - not sure about that) mounted on a single, custom-built mount, leaving the guns capable of independent or mass fire. It was built by the Red Jacket specialist gunsmith firm of Louisiana, USA, on commission for a private client, and was a subject of an episode in the Discovery Channel reality show, "Sons of Guns". I recall that the client originally wanted a "quad" mounting four Browning .50 cals, (!) but was dissuaded from this option on grounds of cost. Er ... is this sort of thing legal, even if confined to private property, even in Louisiana ? And why would one want such a ... toy ? Yours in perplexity, JR.
