These German soldiers were taken prisoner and are under guard in the ruins of the French city of Coutances on July 27, 1944.

POW's in Normandy

Communication point of the Waffen SS "Totenkopf" division somewhere in Russia, summer 1941. All's going well, so far. Conditions even allow a quick snooze wearing sunglasses. Almost like summer manoeuvres in peacetime.

All is quiet...for now

Two Soviet citizens come out of hiding in a  field under the supervision of a German policeman and an officer. Other sources refer to the detainees as being snipers/partizans.Either way their fate  was most likely very bleak. 
 The tank is an abandoned Soviet Light Tank OT-133 (flamethrower version of the T-26).
