Deputy Mayor Dr. Kurt Lisso, head of finances of the city of Leipzig. His wife is in the single seat, his 20-year old daughter in German red cross uniform on the sofa. They all poisoned themselves. 69th Infantry Division and 9th Armored Division closed on city. Germany, April 20, 1945. T5c. J.M. Heslop. (Army)

PARANOIA? Man, everyone knew what the russians were doing. the officials executed, the women raped, the kids murdered. its not paranoia, its taking the easy way out and avoid humilliation.

Ironically it is unlikely that even the husband would have been executed. Very few people from civilian administrations were. This is what paranoia does to people.

I dont believe the mother and daughter had to have blood on their hands to be convicted. There was so much injustice going on, why would it stop with them. ESPECIALLY them?

this sad end of life was popular on that days...they didn't were on the hands of their enemis.

Its easy to sit here and ask why and to judge, but what would we do if we were in the shoes of other people during the war, faced with such decisions. It really makes you think. Thank God weve been lucky enough not to experience it.
