Think beyond the picture. The man who took the photo also wrote the text to it, and he was there IRL, so he could see it all in color, beyond the photo, from different angels, and he could feel the stench of burned flesh.

Hair isn't burned? Yes it is look at it! You think this guy, stuck in the middle of a war, had time to go to the barber and get a nice short haircut just before this photo? Looks like the sudden flash of a phosphorus grenade.

This is one of many pictures taken by US Army cameramen of the Gardelegen Barn Atrocity(there is also video) on and around April 25,1945. The SS were removing about 1,500 prisoners from Dora-Mittelbau concentration camp ahead of the advancing US Army. IN the German town of Gardelegen they ran out of time and killed most of the prisoners by burning them to death and or machine-gunning them. The corpses were put into a mass grave near the barn, but were quickly found by US forces the next day. The local townspeople were forced to exhume them for proper burial. Check out USHMM.Org for more photos and video.Hope this helps.

phosphorus will burn and produce a white powdery surface on the victim and leave allot intact like clothing

You are both wrong the clothes are like that because they wore that clothes for a long time and it got warn down and ripped and the dust settled down on them making it look burned he had to have starved to death.

I agree Michael. If this man were burned alive there would literally be nothing left. No clothes, nothing in his hand.
