Fire at will

"Fire at will!" Men of the Leibstandarte is hammering away with their Schwere Grantwerfer 34's. Note the smoking barrel on the rear weapon. The loader is about to drop his second round. In total the crew closest to the camera has 8 boxes of 3 rounds available. Also of interest is the white disc visible on the end of the tail, just above the fins. That is an extra charge for targets too far away for the standard charge. The legs are stabilized by the crew during firing. Russia, Autumn 1941. Picture was taken by SS Kriegsberichter Augustin.
