Captured by the U.S. 84th Infantry Division, German soldiers are taking a wounded comrade on a handcart along the street of the village of Körrenzig, 15 miles north-east of the city of Aachen in Germany; November 1944.

American soldiers of "C" Company, 148th Infantry, 37th Infantry Division, cautiously move toward the Legislature Building in Manila, the Philippines; February, 1945.
After shelling the Legislature Building and Intramuros (Historic walled section of the city) with a three day barrage of artillery fire, "C" Company of the 148th Infantry move toward the Legislature Building in the early morning. Tanks on the right  have ceased firing on the building and have moved back. This is probably Taft avenue.
