Medical unit on the move

   The first jeep tows a 57-mm anti-tank gun of the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment. The second jeep carries medics of the 326th Airborne Medical Company, 101st Airborne Division.
   The soldiers on the left side of the road also belong to the 327th Glider Infantry, identified by the Ace of Clubs on their helmet. 

Post battle activity in Carentan

Members of 442nd RCT being transported in trucks. Near the commune of Charmois-devant-Bruyères in north-eastern France, members of the famous 442nd Regimental Combat Team are transported in GMC trucks to a new location.

The 442nd was the only US Army unit to permitted to contain Americans of Japanese extraction. It fought in the ETO as a part of the 36th ID with great distinction.
