A photographer has captured a series of striking photos of abandoned World War Two military buildings and the surrounding landscapes. British photographer Marc Wilson has been travelling around Northern Europe’s coastlines for the past few years, capturing stunning photos of the eerie, abandoned structures built by Hitler during the Second world War.

In pictures: World War II fighter aircraft rot in abandoned plane graveyard

These eerie pictures show all that remains of a fleet of World War II fighter planes. The rotting planes lie derelict at an abandoned aeroplane graveyard in Ohio, amongst overgrown foliage and scrap metal. In pictures: A look inside abandoned Heyford US Air Force base in Oxfordshire

Once allegedly used for storing nuclear warheads in case of an attack on Moscow, RAF Upper Heyford in Oxfordshire now stands abandoned and decaying.
