Finnish navy anniversary was celebrated under a monument of the Second Battle of Svensksund where Swedish navy won decisive victory against Russian Empire navy 9 July 1790. battle was fought in the Gulf of Finland outside the present day city of Kotka. Kriegsmarine officers took part for the celebration with the Finnish hosts. Kotka 9.7.1942
