my  dad was in the italian armed forces alpine division artilley was taken prisoner by the germans sept 43 when italy surrendered  was sent to germany until the war ended may 1945  from melegnano milano italia 1918-2004

italian artillery spotters my dad is the one on the  right gastone colombo ALPINO  1918-2004 i believe this was take off the coast of France early 1940s after the Italian surrender he was taken prisoner by the Germans stayed there until the end of the war was released liberated by the americans
