As someone who recovered from alcoholism over 20 years ago, I totally get what he is saying. Often what seems like the bitter end, becomes the start of something much better.

As someone who recovered from alcoholism over 20 years ago, I totally get what he is saying. Often what seems like the bitter end, becomes the start of something much better.

Similar to the story told at the end of Charlie Wilson's store (Hindu or Buddhist) where the old man finds a water buffalo and everyone says, "That is great" and he says, "We shall see." It goes back and forth until water buffalo breaks son's leg just before the army comes and takes all the sons away to die in the war (tie in to this site.) We just never know whether something is good or bad.

Happened again to me as I was diagnosed with a totally different disease. Again, it forced me to adopt a healthier and more sane lifestyle. Now life is better than ever before.

We shall see how life's mysterious ways unfold! Back to the topic at hand...

JR, you are truly a man of many parts. Although I'm not sure all your parts are always there at the same time. Seriously, you add a great deal to this site. mikeg
