The plane is from the 416th and was flying deputy lead when shot down over France in May, 1944 while bombing a V-1 site. My father, Lt Albert Jedinak was the navigator/bombardier. He and the tunnel gunner managed to bail out. The pilot and turret gunner were lost. My dad wad wounded and captured, spending the rest of the war at Stalag Luft III. An article on his last mission was published the Air Force Museum's quaterly magazine vol 15, NO. 1 Sring 1992.
