What I found was certainly clearer than my find - a lesson regarding how you use key words in a search engine, I guess ;) Anyway, I don't especially trust Wiki as a source, but I did find this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties#Human_losses_by_country -- I'm sure you can do a little more checking. Anyway, this site indicates Filipino civilian deaths ran between .5 and 1 million. It also suggests China suffered 20 million total casualties -- with a range of civilian deaths being between 7 and 16 million (!) That's quite a range, so I'm not sure how much I'd trust it - especially coming from Wiki....
