the Japanese tried to pull out of the war if any of you have read that part of the history book and America and the soviets ignored this fact and dropped the bombs on citizens, not soldiers

That's some good golfing country. If they intended them for the Russians. should have dropped them on the Russians.

Some of you need a history lesson. The bombs were intended mostly for Germany. They fell before they were ready. The US dropped the bombs more to prevent the Russians from invading Japan than to "save lives." If you believe that BS you're a sucker.

It took the 2 bombs to force the Japanese to abort their fanatical plans to defend the homeland to the last man, woman and child.

Hey Air_Ace, Sorry to point it out, but you must be the "uneducated piece of crap". The Soviets might have "won" in the ETO (I could argue that point) but they did nothing to help defeat the Japs. Get your shit right before blasting at others, you moron.

I agree dropping the bomb wasn't pretty, or anything to be proud of. But was slaughtering chineese villages was something to be proud of? It seemed like every country was willing to get their hands dirty.

Sorry, but I have to note you're an uneducated piece of crap; the WWII was won by the Soviets and your own regime is a bright sample of the "clutch of demons" the world must get rid of as soon as possible.

"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." From the above comments it's plain to see that the public school system is alive and well. Perhaps some of you could pull away from the computer long enough to "read" your own history. You might begin to realise that were it not for those two bombs many of us, myself included might not be here to denigrate those who fought that war. With projected losses of upwards of 2 mil. to invade Japan and force her surrender it's very likely your own liniage would have been extinguished in the form of your fathers & grandfathers. try talking to them prior to getting all "holier than thou.
