the correct name is Von Ribbentrop. ALTHOUGH: Joachim Ribbentrop married a daughter from a wealthy champagne producing family in 1920. Working for his father-in-law as a sales representative, he adopts the "von" by way of some very dubious transaction ...
Joachim (von) Ribbentrop was adopted by his aunt who was a "Von", thats how he got his title.
