Armed German policeman of the Schupo (possibly a member of a Special Police Security Battalion) checks a cyclist's papers (and, presumably,  the contents of her briefcase), Strasbourg.  The lady looks authentically worried - a check like this might worry anybody, even if they were not carrying anything suspicious.  The young Schupo man is impeccably turned out, with clean boots and spotless uniform.  A large green "Police Eagle" patch is visible on his upper left sleeve, matching the "Police Eagle" on his helmet.  Also visible is a particularly nice example of the standard-issue Polizei-pattern bayonet, with its recessed, "eagle beak" handle and 33cm (13 inch) bayonet.  Best regards, JR.
