Wish I had the time Wizard. Besides being a geek (MVS, CICS, ISPF, JES2 on one side, DBA for R2W on another, and ASP.Net, and VB on the other) I'm a 5th dan Taekwondo and Krav Maga practitioner... and married to boot!

My plate is full so I have to reload fast. What I do is when my wife wants to watch 'House Hunters' I go and crank out some ammo or clean a gun, usually a Glock or J Smith .38, my two main carry and IDPA guns.

Ah.... just maybe five or six more years to retirement (sort of, I don't have any confidence in the economy so I doubt I'll every fully retire!)

Well, we all get the same 24 hours per day, it's just a matter of priorities as to how we use that time.

I'm semi-retired myself, and average just about one day a week in the office, while my wife who is a Nurse-practitioner and mid-wife still works, so I have plenty of time to spend putting together precision reloads. I don't spend much time on computers anymore, and never watch the garbage that passes for TV fare which frees up a lot of time. Shooting, reloading, and roaming around my ranch occupy my days, and I spend my evenings and weekends reading, talking with my wife, or socializing with friends and neighbors.

    Victoria 7,65mm pistol.

Thsi type of small guns commonly know as "Ruby" were made in large number to cope with the huge demand of the ww1, specially the French army. Eventually they produced a serious bussines to a certain number of vasque manufactures, one of the best quality construction was the Victoria 32 made by the Esperanza & unceta firm in Eibar.

Soem of the several thounsands Ruby in french inventory were sold to Finland and became the 7,65mm M10 in the previous years of ww2.

    Panzerknacker,

Did you know the saftey on those Ruby pistols ONLY block the trigger. The sear and hammer are not blocked, and of course, being early 20th century they don't have firing pin blocks or any really safe system. I doubt they even have a floating firing pin, which, BTW, older Star pistols tend to have a firing pin longer than the length of travel and that means if you rest the hammer on the firing pin and drop it on the hammer it may very well go off!

Anyway, it's best to carry these old guns chamber empty so there is no chance of an AD (accidental discharge.)

It would help immensely if you could post some pics of it from both sides. Many pistols, especially military pistols were made on contract by a single manufacturer. this may be the case with your pistol.
