Thank you, my dear Mr Carson!

For our next question, please allow me to introduce this interesting beastie - as usual, I've obscured the all-too-obvious registration number, since a database search is so easy these days. In any case, I don't foresee any large difficulties for such well versed aircraft identification specialists such as yourselves...

I think it is a General Aviation Clark GA-43 of 1932 (one of these models was handed over to the republicans during the spanish civil war)
    Cheers

Yes Mr. Carson, you are bang on the money, this is indeed the General Aviation GA-43 (in this particular case one owned by Swissair), as also confirmed by Mr. Kiwimac.

    Your turn to post!

Yes Kiwimac it is the world famous double-decker (biplane) Polikarpov U-2 and in this case as you rightly say the SP version.
Sorry Gumalangi I think credit goes to Kiwimac as the exact denomination and version was quoted by him.
    Regards

OK, I'm surprised it stumped folk for as long as it has. It is the Polikarpov o3-4. Here is another picture of the beast.
