Hey guys, I'm new here, but am fascinated by WWII- have been since I was a kid.

I may have missed it, but I'm surprised nobody mentioned "Mein Krieg!" It's an excellent documentary from 6 soldiers who carried 8mm cameras all throughout the war and it's from their perspoective, and it's really well done. It's kind of hard to find, but if you can, rent or buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Also, if you want to read a book, "Steel hearts and Iron coffins" is a great book.
It's about one man's perspective from inside a U-boat, namely the U-5-5 in Chicago.
I've been obsessed with this wolf, again since I was a kid. I'm 42. So you get the idea.

Definitely get Mein Krieg though.
