Today it was my honor to stand on a flag line with fellow Patriot Guard Riders at the internment service for MM3 Dale R. Pierce. MM3 Pierce began his service at 17 years of age in 1944 and was discharged after the end of hostilities in 1946. Dale served honorably in the Okinawa Campaign, and was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the Victory Medal for World War II. MM3 Pierce, your watch has been stood, your duty to protect this nation is complete, and you’ve earned the right to be called a true American Hero. Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Rest in Peace, your Mission is complete.
