Looking at some of the Vietnam footage in other threads, it reminded me of the Asian preference for trousers that are tight along the leg. And no doubt elsewhere.

I preferred our standard jungle greens with lots of room for falling and crawling.

Since "combat spandex" hasnt been approved for use, I would have to say loose, (not real loose) too tight, and you end up with a bad case of crotch rot, and too loose, you will be snagging everything around you. That can be bad especially when alot of things you'll snag can go boom. (the rest give you crotch rot) ( yes, I'm joking too, but not about the crotch rot, or Boom.)
