I am currently on vacation and will go to the Yamato museum in Kure.
this is the list of weapons that Iwill be there and if anyone wants a photo of a particular part of the weapon they will be welcome.:mrgreen:
1/10 scale model of the Yamato
Helmets, gas masks (JPN)
type93/type94 torpedos
"Kaiten" suicide torpedo type 10 (prototype)
Zero 64 type
Kairyu midget sub (later production)
Ammo for battleships
Screw and canon from the battleship "mutsu"
I will also go to ground zero in hiroshima. I will get some pics there as well.

Note the 2 holes (the larger one was caused by an attack by an US destroyer (I think)).

note the small size-must have been hell in there not to mention the fact that you were facing certian death.....
the latter 2 fotos show the periscope of the kaiten and what it looks like to look inside.

Oh, and by the way, the one with the ammo is the type 3 13mm and the other is the type 99 20mm

I saw a sign that said the bulkhead is made of wood and the deck is made of real wood. I guess the rest is mde of metal, resin, plastic and urathane. saw a foto during the "construction" some worker inside the model....
