Wrong Wasp. That's CV-7; OP is looking for its namesake, CV-18.

I know about the USS WASP CV18 web site along with color picture of USS WASP CV7. Thanks for the help. As an FYI to all interested I sent emails to the National Archives at College Park Maryland along with Naval Historical archives related to USS WASP CV18 and Iron Angels fighter squadron.

Always liked Wasp. My father served on CV-18 when he was assist ops officer on McCain's TF-38 staff. Fast forward 20 years and Wasp was his flagship when he was ComCarDiv 14 in 1965.

I picked up Charles Houston's "Flying With Iron Angels" book, if you are interested I would recommend it.
