Its Pacific war alright. Already there is a rebellion on the COD4 forums against another ww2 COD and I can see why as ww2 has been done to death.

i think that a ww2 game needs to be made within the same realm as COD4. COD3 sucked, and i felt that it was rushed out as was the latest couple of MOH games. I would just like for a good realistic WW2 game to be made that could apply all the same principals as COD4 and battlefield2 online (ranks and unlocks and such)

I agree that COD3 was not a very good game, but I wouldn't terribly mind the CoD series going back into a WW2 setting.

CoD5 is in the Pacific and will be WW2. I hope they create it the same as what they did with CoD4. CoD4 just had a way of keeping you in the game.

Yep, and its going to be like the COD4 online, as I heard, and will include perks and weapons from the Japanese and Americans for sure but maybe Germans and Brits to. Don't know but it could be.

Call of Duty World at War, will be set in 3 areas, The Pacific, Russian Front, and Berlin, you will play as 3 differant soldiers (like COD2), there will be a tonne of new features and old features from previous Call of Dutys like Vehicles and Artillery strikes, it will have a ranking system like COD4, and you will be able to customize your character like in R6V2, you will be able to swim for the first time in a COD game, and you will also be able to climb up and onto things like trees and roofs which will make sniping with a Mosin-Nagant sooooo sweet.

I saw some gameplay last night during the Sony E3 show, and it looks very very good and on some missions you will be a gunner in some kind of bomber going over Berlin, i couldnt make out what plane it was

Yea, it will be on the Xbox 360, PS3, and WII. I can't believe it but treyarch might make a good game.

I think its time someone made a good game about the PTO. Admittedly, the only one I played was Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, which really was not as good a game as it could have been.

An idea how about COD 5 make the game but make in "Open World", Soldiers
are stationed on the base or the country e.g. germans troops in occupied France, Poland, etc and for the Pacific The US Troops stationed in Australia, more specific in Melbourne, Victoria or in Sydney, New South Wales.

The game would sale millions, just a thought.

Just Imagine the game would be revolutary for the world war 2 genre.

The will be using the same engine that was used in CoD 4 and they tweaked it a bid more to bring forth a great game. There will also be the road to Berlin from the Russian front.

xbox 360 has way more war games its best do to the fact you dont have to buy a game of the year addition when expansions come out. also they have more online options

Yes, the 360 does have more games, but I thought the PS3 was more worth my money and the games that come out on the PS3 and 360 does not differ that much in graphics to say the one is better than the other.

I have all the Call of Duty's on PS2 and PS3 and loved them all in their own way.

I think you would love World War Two Online, though the map is Europe, it's realistic and fun to play though lacking in the graphics department. Games aren't all about their graphics though. In this game you can fly the planes, drive the tanks, snipe, destroy the tanks, destroy the planes make your own company of real people, plan battles, sabotage supply lines and so much more. I don't play this game though you can find it on youtube with a search of WW2 online or Battle ground Europe. You can get a trial of the game here:

Then you buy the full version off the site or on a place such as e bay or maybe EB games if you have it where you live. It's pay by the month but well worth it.

My two son's and I are looking forward to COD 5, I put in a preorder at amazon.
I like the WW2 based idea as I am not much into the modern day period.
I played COD 3 quite a bit but never really could get into COD 4,my two sons seem to really prefer the WW2 games over modern also.
