Isn't it a panzer III ? Look at the turret and commander cupola... Looks like the photographers tank is also a Pz III.
Don't know the origin of the photo but have seen it before at it supposedly is of the Easternfront 1941-42.

Correct, is part of the "Taifun" operation against Moscu in winter 1941.

And if you wish the very name of the photographer, my dear M. Admin, that picture was taken by the official photo-correspondent of the notorious "Signal" revue - Mr. Arthur Grimm. :)
