I like a variety of different types of music. One of my latest favorites is Selena, after watching the movie by the same name. She was quite an entertainer.
Selena - "Como La Flor". A memorial concert in tribute to the late queen of Tejano music a week after the tenth anniversary of her death. Born in Lake Jackson, Texas - April 16, 1971, died in Corpus Christi, Texas - March 31, 1995.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqsmUWCqzMY
Reliant Stadium in Houston hosted a tribute concert, Selena ¡VIVE!, on April 7, 2005. Held a week after the 10th anniversary of her death, more than 50,000 fans attended the concert, which featured various high-profile artists including Gloria Estefan, Pepe Aguilar, Thalía, Paulina Rubio, Ana Barbara, Alejandra Guzmán, Ana Gabriel, and Fey. All of the artists at the event performed renditions of Selena's music, as did her brother, A.B. Quintanilla, who performed along with his band Kumbia Kings backed with footage of Selena singing Baila Esta Cumbia. Broadcast live on the Univision network, Selena ¡VIVE! now holds the record for the highest-rated and most-viewed Spanish-language show in American television history. The show, which was over three hours long, scored a 35.9 Nielsen household rating

I like many variants of music, from classical to Indie/metal. Rammstein are one of my favourites and have just announced they are working on songs for their next album.
For those of you who like to experiment with your music you cannot go past Aussie band Powderfinger. Their new album-Dream Days At The Hotel Existence is an awesome album. Gone is their melodic power pop tunes and they're back with their harder electric power. I would say this is the album of the year so far.

I remember seeing this group on Dutch TV while visiting Holland in 1979 and 1980. They were young children then and their parents were still alive. They were just getting their big break in music then. From what I've seen they were singing as group until about 2000, being very popular in the 1990's. They have such marvelous voices.

Yup, both come from a musical family. Jan even played clarinet on a track from their "Diver Down" album.

Well, that was certainly different. :)
This the more traditional version: picnics on the Downs, village cricket, leafy glades, and lying back in poppy and buttercup populated meadows enjoying the way the fluffy, white bits traverse the heavens with the odd high-altitude contrail criss-crossing the image.

My one time favourite was 'Mars, bringer of war' but I was so much older then I'm younger than that now. :)

I wonder how many war-movie themes that piece has inspired? Gladiator springs to mind.

Dance the Devil is the literal translation of the words (might mean something like dancing with the devil - my grammar is very rusty and was never too good in the first place).

Too much music for any one instrumental, song or style to be a favourite to the exclusion of all others.
Here are some that are among my many favourites, including a disproportionate number of military ones for the sake of the site.

(Just for comparison, here is Chrissy Amphlett's - the Divynls' singer in the last clip - cousin, the lovely Little Pattie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYq8Erjieug with whom I was deeply in love in the mid 1960s, although she didn't notice. Couldn't afford her album, so we just used to go up to the record shop and look at the cover until the shop man told us to buy something or piss off. We always had to piss off.)
