I actually met a guy with a real 1000 yd. stare, he was a veteran of both Afghanistan and two tours in Iraq, and now has PTSD (which makes him happy because he collects disability and cannot be redeployed)...

"Lurch" - front, no shirt - driver.
Larry Vunak - me, front center, under helmet.
Joe Raber, Killed May 16, 1970 - Track TC, center of picture, open shirt.
