My Dad was stationed in England during WW 2, with the RCAF.
He flew Mustangs, mostly, and I'm wondering what colour ( paint ) scheme these aircraft used during that time.

Any help/input on this would be much appreciated.

thanks,

Without more info on his squadrons, it was most likely the standard RAF/RCAF sky blue for the undersides, and the usual light and dark green camouflage on the upper surfaces.

The "D" variant was not the most used by the RCAF but earlier ones.
