Still working on it folks....slowly...have a full time job, so i try to work on it whenever i get the chance.

http://www.ww2incolor.com/temp/sample.jpg

By the way, I've begun recording my reels of 16mm COLOR combat footage from ww2.

Once I get the site up, i'll ask some of you if you'd like to participate by editing some of the content on the photos...you can log in and edit it easily. Maybe we can have some people be "mods" of certain photo areas....approve or disapprove comments, etc.

Will say more later...

Relaying the message!

FYI, the site is almost completed. The new site will not look like the sneak peak example I showed earlier.

Right now I have a programmer who is developing the new photo gallery and i think you will all like it. It will be more user/community friendly so people can comment and edit the photo descriptions if they know more about the photo. This should be good for our international visitors who happen to also live in many of the towns that you can see in the photographs.

I'll be in Washington DC in the next week or so and will be able to add 1000 more color photographs to the site thanks to the National Archives.

Almost done....thanks for being patient. Once the site is ready, we'll have to do a forum re-design (yes, one more time!) based on the site's new layout.

Also, some people have been mailing me filmfootage of their relatives during WWII...lots of neat color footage no one has seen before. One of them is a flying tiger footage...from a mechanic who was there to take care of the planes. All in color, of course.

Just giving you all the immediate update. I plan to send this out in a newsletter to all site members. Think we will try and do this every so often.

I would love to be a mod in certain photo areas. Please reply on this! It would be a honor to do this job.
