I read a bit about Herman Gerring in history, and I was a bit curious since it failed to mension what kind of division he commanded and where. Mind filling me in?

I read a bit about Herman Gerring

You read or you heard about him? :D
Off-topic: How old are you?
No offence intended!

Now seriously: You have been told several times to change your avatar.
You have 24 hours for changing. If not, I will ask Gen. Sandworm to remove your actual avatar.

I read about the guy from a friend's class essay, he asked me if I could help him in any way with it. Now I can tell him how to spell his name and what his division was composed of. For the off-topic question: I am 16.
Well thanks for the help guys.

Adding an 'e' directly after the vowel is also a correct method of displaying an umlaut, e.g. = oe, = ue etc.

edited because I am a spaz and mis-typed a critical part of the post
