Joy of joys.

Today I am going to waste a few hundred bucks worth of potentially paid time dealing with entirely avoidable **** ups by my ****ing bank (which has lost my ****ing superannuation fund of a rather useful amount, which I didn't find out about because the ****ing bank bothered to tell me the fund was going to disappear but only because it disappeared from my accounts - ****ing ****s! ); one of my ****ing electricity suppliers (which is threatening to cut off the power to my beach shack because it can't find the ****ing money I transferred to it over the internet a ****ing month ago); my ****ing mobile phone company which is threatening to cut off my various phones because I haven't paid the bill I haven't received; and the same moronic ****ing mobile phone company which wants money for my newest phone on a single rate which, despite specific arrangements to the contrary, isn't on the lower bulk plan for my other mobile phones which I carefully arranged in a tedious half hour conversation with Ranjit or Gupta or some other **** in Calcutta or Delhi or wherever.

If any small business operated the way major corporations run their ****ed up and arrogant operations, they'd have no customers.

So should I mention the cricket to improve your mood?

Water off a duck's back, old sport.

This Test is remarkable for Ashton Agar's debut at No.11, which was sufficiently stunning and heart warming to make our looming loss bearable.

Regarding the cricket - I have managed to see some of it on the old goggle box. I suppose we have seen better Australian sides. However, I think that the series so far has been significantly affected by the unusually hot and (often) humid weather that we have been enjoying in this corner of the world for the last few weeks. Not that I am an expert - but I have the distinct impression that this has been having a significant effect both on the pitches and on atmospheric conditions such as are likely to bother both sides. Just seems to be falling very much England's way at the moment. Advance, Australia Fair ! Best regards, JR.

You have seen many very much better Australian sides.

What some members of this side lack in cricketing talent, they make up for by being up themselves which, alas, doesn't improve the way they play.

Australians should be better used to playing in hot and humid conditions than the English.

If those conditions are affecting play, it just demonstrates another area in which our current team is outclassed by the Poms, which is a credit to the Poms.

Hope they stop screwing you over. But though, you can sue them and represent yourself.
