German soldiers who attempted to storm the 101st Airborne command post in Bastogne, Belgium, lie dead on the ground after they were mowed down by American machine gun fire. This photo was taken while Bastogne was still under seige (12/25/44)

    I assumed their bodies were moved, doesn't seem very logical to be grouped like that, one mortar shell would have had the same affect.
