The Tiger 1 that was captured in Tunisia, and restored at Bovington, was knocked out by two Churchills. It was a lucky shot, but it happened. The 2pdr gun was used on the Mk I and Mk II,the difference between these versions being that the Mk II (IIRC) mounted the 94mm Close Support howitzer in the hull as well. Also at Bovington is one of the Black Princes, which look much like a Churchill, but with a 17pdr.

It had thick armour, and an amazing ability to climb, its best variant was arguably with a trench mortar and flamethrower combo. just rolled up to bunker, lobbed a big bomb in and cooked the unlucky survivors.

Originally designed to support infantry, very thick armour, slow and able to cross wide trenches (as in WW1) it went on to be probably one of the most converted tanks ever - mine clearance, bridge carrying, flamethrower, bunker-buster. Shame it never got the 17-pounder gun on it.
